Coming from background in fine jewellery, fascinated by architecture and sculpture, I was introduced to the world of textile through the art of millinery. As time went by, my fascination with textile became a passion and I had the express need to return to the original source of textile, the art of felting. This supple, malleable cloth allows me to discover multiple facets and associations, whether they are pictorial or spatial, where diverse materials join to illuminate the rough and the matte. I explore its possibilities and rise to the challenge of marrying this ancient matter with modern and audacious innovation. Within the pursuit of my artistic endeavours and creations, I aspire to give this cloth the noble place it deserves in our collective universal heritage.
